Overview
🔒 Your data stays yoursThis policy explains what SHARDMARCH: Match 3 Heroes handles, what it does not, and what choices you have. It is written to be read.
The short version: the developer collects nothing about you. The game has no accounts of its own, no sign-up and no analytics, and your progress stays on your device unless you choose to sync it with your own Google Play Games account. The one exception is advertising: the game offers optional rewarded ads supplied by Google AdMob, and Google collects data in order to deliver them.
Data Storage
Your campaign stars, unlocked stages, castle upgrades and settings are stored locally on your device only. The developer never receives them and cannot see them. If you sign in with Google Play Games, you can also keep a copy in your own Google account as a cloud save (see below).
Your answer to the ad-consent question is also stored on the device, so you are not asked again on every launch. Uninstalling the game removes all of it.
What the Developer Collects
Nothing. SHARDMARCH does not ask for, receive or store:
- Your name, email address or any contact information
- Any account or password of its own
- Location data
- Gameplay telemetry, analytics or crash reports
- Payment information — purchases are handled entirely by Google Play
The developer sees only aggregate, anonymous advertising earnings figures provided by Google. These cannot identify any individual player.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game offers optional rewarded ads. You are never required to watch one, and no part of the game is locked behind them. The full campaign is playable without ever seeing an ad.
When an ad is requested, Google AdMob may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising identifier
- Device information such as model, operating system version and language
- Your IP address, and the approximate region derived from it
- Whether the ad was viewed or clicked
Google handles this data as an independent controller. Its use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and by how Google uses data from apps that use its services. The developer does not receive it.
In-App Purchases
The game sells optional crystal packs through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; the game never sees your card or payment details.
After a purchase, the game stores the Google Play order number on your device, only so the same purchase is never credited twice. It is not sent to the developer. Google's handling of purchases is covered by the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Google Play Games
Signing in with Google Play Games is optional. It lets you unlock achievements and keep a cloud save of your progress in your own Google account. The game receives only your Play Games player id and display name to do this, and does not send them to the developer. Your Google account is managed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
Your Consent Choice
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game shows Google's official consent form before any ad is requested, and asks your permission first.
You can change that answer at any time. From version 0.3.3, open Settings → Ad privacy → Manage in the game to review or withdraw your consent in Google's privacy options form. On any version, you can also:
- Reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings, under Google → Ads
- Clear the game's app data, which clears the stored answer so you are asked again on next launch
Permissions
The game requests exactly one Android permission: internet access, used to load ads, process purchases through Google Play, sync with Google Play Games, and read the current time from Google (an empty request to google.com, so energy and the Gold Mine can count the time the game was closed; nothing about you is sent). It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or file access.
Children's Privacy
SHARDMARCH is rated for teens and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact the address below and it will be addressed.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the game's release notes on Google Play.
